BYC Café

I had IBS-C for years, and attacks were often associated with stress. Have not had one flare up all year since I've been Keto. Not sure if it was the sugar, the grains, or just carbs in general that tied into it. I also have way less joint pain and no hypoglycemic episodes.

Just glad it seems to be gone!

Wow that's interesting! My friend's sister and now I think family is keto but idk, it seems like too much work for me hah plus I'm sure that much fat is bad eventually too

Ick. That's not living as far as I'm concerned. I cut out pop a few months ago and had a regular normal "routine " for the first time in my life. Sadly, it only lasted a week or so and then it was back to the same. I guess I'm lucky. The horrendous pain is a rare occurrence for me for the past few years. I can eat bread again and really don't have to watch my diet (unless I'm wanting to lose weight of course). I remember when I was first diagnosed back in the 80s I was told to avoid coffee and chocolate. No way in sam he'll.
I don't drink coffee either, but if someone tries to take my chocolate, they die.

Interesting... The say people are night owls or morning people etc based on the time of day they were born. I'm curious if that theory holds true. I was born around 3am and if left to my own devices I'd tend to stay up until 2am or so. My problem is that I sleep a lot. Again if left to my own devices I tend to sleep 11-12 hours.
I sleep more when feeling down. At one point i was staying up until 2 or 4 am and sleeping until 2 pm. Now i try to get up by 930 or 10. Husband doesn't get it , but then he does not suffer from depression.
