BYC Café

Good morning Cafe. Sorry I've been away so long, but life has a way of throwing things at you sometimes.

But I survived, and am slowly getting back into a routine.

Hope all is well and I didn't miss anything important!

Life goes on. That being said, we missed you. :hugs

I went to the specialist today and he supposedly fixed my cpap machine. We will see tonight.
I spent over 2 hours driving today to get to the dr and back. Ran back out after supper and got some work done on the coop. Coming along well.

While we're on the subject of doctors, I went to the doctor today. He doesn't think I have a hernia and couldn't feel one. Said it could just be a muscle strain in the abdomen which I find kind of hard to believe just because I've had it so long but it does seem to get worse with exercise so I suppose it's possible. But I did get a blood and urine test and one of those take home stool test things and I have to go back tomorrow for a pelvic ultrasound whatever that is just to be sure it's nothing. I just had an appointment with one of those female doctors last month and she said everything was good but this is different, idk. That was just the annual thing. Anyway, I only told him about the pain, probably should have mentioned some of my stomach or other issues but oh well lol

Also for 2 days (today and yesterday but especially yesterday) my hand has been numb/tingly and it kinda bothers/goes up my whole arm and shoulder even though the numbness is just the hand, you know? And when I read too much, like when I was just reading my test and essay I got back, my eyes start hurting/getting tired and going out of focus. I think I might need glasses lol

I THINK those problems are related to the damn phone. It's so small. I think I have carpal tunnel and odd thing is my dad is getting these symptoms too same time I am lol I bought a wrist brace yesterday but my hand felt a bit better today. And I think my eyes are so used to looking at a tiny glaring phone screen that when I look at something else, they're not used to it. They say you can go blind from tech use. I wonder if I could simply "train" my eyes (are they a muscle?) And read more and get off my phone instead of being on it near 24/7 365, and have my eyes get stronger. I do not want glasses or for my eyes to rely on them.

In other news, idk if I mentioned the test or essay or how much writing the test was and I never want to write again? But we got them back today and I got a 95 on the test and a 97 on the essay

Good job on your test scores! Doctors hate to see me coming because i make a list of things to discuss and take it to my appointment. They want to get in and out fast before you remember all your issues. You should get your eyes checked regularly though.

I would think that looking down does it for the numbness. Try setting a timer on the phone so that you can do neck stretches and exercises. Google some!

Thanks! Lol a list, huh? I should have done that :lau oddly he wasn't really in a hurry, I know a lot of doctors are though, but he's a pretty good a through doctor, I just didn't think it was relevant. Idk. And yeah, I haven't had them checked in forever
