Battery hens. Neighbour found some hens for $2 each and asked me if I wanted some. I had no idea what I was getting until they got here. At that point I knew nothing about chickens. I've learned a lot since then. Working on buckeyes now. I'm getting a roo on Sunday. I'm really excited.

Hail does not count the same as snow...who ever heard of a hail man?

We get hail every do often. Everything covered in tiny white balls is fun. Well, for 5 minutes.

Californians are terrible drivers in the snow, ice or etc. No experience with it and they panic!

I am sure they are...but I bet a bunch of the bad driving is because of the tires. Summer only tires (which I am sure is what you'll use down there), are like dancing on greased pig skins as soon as a bit of snow hits the road.

The tires I have are called All weather tires. It is a silly name because they are not snow tires! My Mom uses studded snow tires in the winter because she has a house at 4500 feet and gets snow. Those are awesome in the snow with 4 wheel drive

Thanks for the coffee this morning, going to grab a hot chocolate now. Hands are freezing typing this because the woodstove is still out of commission. Took the little one out trick-or-treating in town and he wasn't too keep on the experience. But if he got to choose his own candy to put in the bag he liked that. Was chilly but not too bad.

Raining today, pretty gloomy and chilly.

I'm telling myself this will give me motivation to tackle the counter full of dirty dishes. Just having a sit down now, but ds2 is sick with a cold so I think I'll make it a movie afternoon while I clean.
