BYC Café

Shalom to all!
Long time since my last visit!
I decided to study the coffee subject profoundly and I am having a grate fun (and some extraordinary cups of coffee! )
I roast my own beens, and experiment in making my own blands
Today I rosted 4 Arabica breeds. 2 Ethiopian breed (Sidamo and Dajime ) ,1 Honduras breed (Santa Rosa ) and 1 from Papua new Guinea.
And one Robusta breed from India, Kapi royal.
Tomorrow will try and mix them!

So good to see you again!

We got candy on sale also yesterday.
Al I'm sorry is so cold there.

Thanks

Not too cold right now. We warmed up again, low 40s. So the pond is still iced over, but the snow is gone.

The problem is that I would prefer temp in the 90s. :lau

I can't swim... :lau

Then swimming the Atlantic is a very bad idea for you. Maybe make a raft.

My first time that I try it.
I have found that the I prefer the Arabica more on the light roast spectrum (2-3), and the Robusta more dark roast spectrum ( 6)
And I mix 80% Arabica with 20% Robusta.
Do you roast yourself to?
I don't roast, no, but I'm familiar with a lot about coffee. I love the popcorn smell while they're roasting. I lean towards the Asian coffee, more of a spicy flavour. For me African coffees are too fruity and South American coffees tend not to roast as dark as I like. I'm a definite dark roast drinker. What coffee have you found that produces a nice nutty flavour? I'm having a hard time finding one.

The combination of the Ethiopian Dajime and the Guatemalan coffee.
