BYC Café

Good morning all.
Thanks for the coffee Sour.
Benny your and Ron's wives are very fortunate that you both love to cook and bake! That is most women's dreams come true!

It's 68* here with 80 percent humidity.
Rained last night and drizzling off and on.
Y'all with snow and cold bundle up and stay warm.

I was going to say that Google says it's tomorrow (I got curious and looked it up right before I logged on lol) But then I remembered it says 2am which means tonight if you stay up that late or in the morning lol

Although not that it technically matters when you do it.

But the technical time the phones change I think is then lol

I decided to study the coffee subject profoundly and I am having a grate fun (and some extraordinary cups of coffee! )
I roast my own beens, and experiment in making my own blands

Cool! I think I'd like to try that, but it's not something I'd be getting into until kids are grown up. I've got too many other homemade-type endeavors going on

Blueberry muffins baked this morning. Sourdough honey spelt bread in kneading in the kitchen aid mixer

I don't roast, no, but I'm familiar with a lot about coffee. I love the popcorn smell while they're roasting. I lean towards the Asian coffee, more of a spicy flavour. For me African coffees are too fruity and South American coffees tend not to roast as dark as I like. I'm a definite dark roast drinker. What coffee have you found that produces a nice nutty flavour? I'm having a hard time finding one.
Last summer I bought a 4x5 pound pack of south american green beans from Sweet Marias. One of the single origin beans is: Brazil Fazenda Alta Vista. The description is:

City+ to Vienna: Pecan ice cream, dark caramel, bittersweet cocoa hazelnut, leathery top note in the finish. Good for espresso

I like it fine as brewed coffee. It does make a great espresso too

I have tried 80% Honduras -Santa Rosa with 20% dark rost Robusta it was phenomenal! It is a very Chocolaty variety! It tastes almost as hot chocolate, wonderful!

Benny have you heard anything from Tara??
:hit
Yes she sent me an Email, she left BYC for Facebook, I understood that you (as I!) Don't use this Hellish platform, so I think that we will not see from her to much..... it makes me sad. ...
