Are you going to The Royal Winter Fair @Treerooted ? I haven't been since I was a kid, but I always loved it.

Yes! Growing up, my family went every year (we lived closer to TO).
We're meeting grandma and grandpa there, and my sister is coming with us, so it'll be a family affair which is nice :) Going to take the GO in, which my son will love

I had my DNA done, mostly European ancestors. No American Indian as i was led to believe on Mom's side of the family.
Mine was not as expected either. Many of my relatives did not believe it because the expected DNA to be similar to last names. It turns out that my German last named Fathers married Irish girls. Also, one surname that was supposed to be German was British.

So I am mostly Irish

My Dad's side is Bohemian so that's pretty cool. I wanted my husband to take my last name, but he just didn't feel comfortable with it. And choosing our son's last name was many discussions. We settled on my last name as his middle and my husbands as his last. I'm still a bit sad about it though

The GO has some really nice scenery. Especially going through the Don Valley.

It's the traffic on the Don we're avoiding by taking the go! But mostly it's nice to expose the little one to stuff like train rides. And tickets are half price with the fair so that's a bonus. We'll be travelling from the 'shaw to downtown.

The Shaw? Oshawa? Do you live near there?
