I had my DNA done, mostly European ancestors. No American Indian as i was led to believe on Mom's side of the family.

Are you going to The Royal Winter Fair @Treerooted ? I haven't been since I was a kid, but I always loved it.
Mine was not as expected either. Many of my relatives did not believe it because the expected DNA to be similar to last names. It turns out that my German last named Fathers married Irish girls. Also, one surname that was supposed to be German was British.I had my DNA done, mostly European ancestors. No American Indian as i was led to believe on Mom's side of the family.
The GO has some really nice scenery. Especially going through the Don Valley.Yes! Growing up, my family went every year (we lived closer to TO).
We're meeting grandma and grandpa there, and my sister is coming with us, so it'll be a family affair which is niceGoing to take the GO in, which my son will love

I kept my last name, kids got their Dad's last name. French , so hard to spell and pronounce for most folks.
The Shaw? Oshawa? Do you live near there?
It's the traffic on the Don we're avoiding by taking the go! But mostly it's nice to expose the little one to stuff like train rides. And tickets are half price with the fair so that's a bonus. We'll be travelling from the 'shaw to downtown.
