Trying to translate, you are traveling by train instead of driving on a Freeway?

See, we have odd ways of speaking here Too. When I go to visit my Mom, I take the 5 up North. Do you know what that is?
I5 = interstate 5
The Don Valley Parkway is a highway, yes. One of the few that travels north/south in Toronto. It's affectionately known as the Don Valley Parking Lot. During the daytime you're lucky if you can get up to 15 mph.

Yes!

There have been some posts that are hard for me to understand where things we do not have here are talked about. There was some bird that is only on the East coast that was talked about. I had to google it to see what it was.

We live in an odd world where people from all over the place chat but things are often not the same even when speaking the same language

Time to go home!

Very true.
I grew up thinking that Canada and the U.S. were essentially the same. Then I moved to the states and discovered that there are definite differences. Aside from you guys misspelling words. Like colour and centre. :p

No it's the Brits that misspell words, colour, centre, theatre, and they call Cochins, Pekins :confused:
Drive on the wrong side of the road? We invented cars after all so we must be correct on that one.... good and bad.gif

Yup, they're definitely wrong! :p

Mine was not as expected either. Many of my relatives did not believe it because the expected DNA to be similar to last names. It turns out that my German last named Fathers married Irish girls. Also, one surname that was supposed to be German was British.

So I am mostly Irish
But you are 100% Human!
