I had a moose that our trailer camera took a pic of for a while. Changed it to my buckeye roo yesterday, but it disappeared overnight.

I always enjoy yours. Every day I take a look. A few of them I've even downloaded.

My cats change their minds on where to sleep nightly. Just as I think I've got them figured out they change their routines/habits.

Once you figure out how to keep your cats organized, you'll have to tell me how to do it. There's a nice sized dent in our fridge now...DH told me one of the cats knocked a crockpot off the counter this weekend and it hit the fridge. Thank goodness the crockpot was empty and it didn't break.

No I didn't! So that was awesome, I passed out on the couch, woke up, went back to sleep and that seems to have healed me up. I woke up the next day feeling a little so-so, but was fine by the afternoon.


I was thinking of getting buckeyes as well. They're currently a major contender on my list

I'm loving the buckeyes so far. Their eggs are fantastic. They're not frequent layers, but will keep laying for 5 years or so. Evidently their meat is incredible. The lady I bought my show birds from sells the meat at $8 a pound. She said she has customers willing to pay $9.

Thanks! That's actually really good to know as we cull our extra roos for table birds. I'm getting a bunch of breeds for the first couple years to see what we like and then I'll start working on a sustainable flock.

I would like to try Buckeyes but would have to find a breeder as I don't think hatchery birds would be quite the same nor the wonderful breed I've heard they are

We have 1 Barred Rock, 2 Black Australorps, 3 Buff Orpingtons, and 2 Easter Eggers. I love them all but the Australorps are kind of bullies
