I remember going to Le Massif in Quebec. I could ski black diamonds as long as there weren't moguls. I did a blue trail that day and it took 3 hours to get down!! Only 2 runs that day but it was wonderful.

Heh... I did a black diamond at Mont Tremblant in Quebec. I hit a mogul patch. Took my skis off and walked down.

Sound like good times Michelle :thumbsup

I only went a few times because I lived in a state without mountains. Whenever I'd visit my parents or brother in CO, then I could go. Never got very good at it, but it was always fun.

There was the time I managed to sprain both ankles and had to be tobogganed down the mountain by the ski patrol...aw heck, that was pretty fun too (he was cute & I was single).

7F today... with wind chill -4F smiley brrr.gif

One time my brother took us all down a black diamond and therewas this pretty steep little channel thing with rocks and yeah. I think we had to like scoot/crawl down on our butts. My mom was pretty mad at him LOL myself and my younger brother were pretty young still. But this was at a mountain here in New England so nowhere near the equivalent of black diamonds out there but still

LOL nice

I haven't been skiing in a few years. I used to love it.

Idk why I stopped. Got too cold and I got lazy I guess :lau

And now I am out of shape and have anxiety about the ice and my abilities haha

Idk, I just don't see the point in goung out, freezing my toes and face off, and stuff when I could sip hot chocolate in the lodge or my room lol

When I quit I had started waking up later and only doing half days if that, often a few runs at most, then come back and sit yet still paying for a full day. Meanwhile my brother and sometimes dad would get up super early and hit the trails all day. I just never got the fun in that :lau

Oddly though I feel like I wouldn't mind being out dog sledding all day

I've never been downhill skiing!

My family always went cross-country skiing and I still do. I even now have a trail in my own backyard. I'm more of a slow-paced person so it suits me just fine :)
I slide down hills in snow but I do have to go a couple of hours to get to snow

I always thought Tahoe would be amazing. Or Truckee. I think it's absolutely gorgeous there.
Truckee is nice!
It gets coldest place in the US in the winter sometimes. It is an odd local climate zone.

Tahoe is a beautiful place. We stayed in a house there once and have camped with the church several times
