Got the solar water heater in the run. Still need to add the grass growing window box and weed greens to the poo bin, but progress is happening!View attachment 1194175

So... how exactly is it going to work?

The sun will heat the air inside the solar box. I will close the pop door at night to trap the heat in. The poop bin will generate heat 24/7 as soon as the compost starts to work. So when it gets cold at night hopefully that will keep the water thawed. It is an experiment. I might have to modify it to get the results i want. Goal... water always drinkable when the chickens are in the run.

Oh yes!

I ate a little bit of the cranberry apple but not a full slice (didn't wanna be a pig lol plus wasn't sure if I would like it lol), a little ice cream, a cheesecake slice, a cookie, 2 Boston Creme pie slices (not at the same time lol). And I might have more cheesecake later since we took it. I also just had almost half a container of potato salad haha only cause I took some excedrin though.

I should have had more cranberry apple pie though. And apparently there was a regular apple too

Let's see if the weather guys get it right today. Yesterday's "partly sunny and 60" turned out to be solidly overcast and 52; thought I never would get my eyes open. I am seeing some blue sky out there, though.

@drumstick diva, the Jehovah's witnesses don't come here anymore. I have the solution to their visits.

Rumor has it that they were accidental witnesses to a full moon dance . . . and required months of therapy.

I think everyone has had way too much alcohol at this point but all the guys were listening to Alice's Restaurant earlier lol and singing it

Singing can be very therapeutic - or not. Hopefully, these Caruso's had a suitable assortment of designated drivers (and pain relievers!).

Morning! Coffee, coffee, coffee... An accidental wind gust of 80 woke me up. The winds are still screaming, but yesterday's weather was delightful for the 20 some people that braved the roads to our house. I was the DD for our venturing out to a neighbor's ranch after our get-together wound down, so this girl is just dealing with being tired from lack of sleep, not the hangover stuff. I love being the older, wiser one. I hope everyone had a great day!
