Good morning and hello! I used to be a regular at this cafe, got pregnant and dropped off the face of the earth. Baby is finally grown enough I have started dreaming about chickens again and realized I missed my old friends. I see a lot of new faces here and a few old.

howdy ho! :frow Congrats on remembering to breathe while chasing around three little kiddos!

I love my kids! But there was very little uninterrupted sleep when they were little. Whew! A crazy whirlwind! Great fun, great memories, but crazy!

Things are much more sane now that the youngest is 9... and a full night sleep is possible. But I already know I will miss them something fierce when they leave home (especially all the work they do! nice! )

I have 5 boys, close to 10 years between the youngest and the oldest. Right now they are 9 to 19.

I am pretty religious myself, and I suppose that is partly why I have so many.. but I also think large families are great. We stopped because of medical complications with the last pregnancy. ... that scared us, we didn't want to risk a 1 parent household with a bunch of kids.

We've had dustings of snow off and on but, temps are headed to the deep freeze zone and possibly sleet/ice all that crummy stuff.

We had great snow... then it warmed up just enough to turn the world to ice.

I slipped and fell on Thursday... nothing broke... but man, I didn't enjoy it.

One year I bought those "Stabilizer," brand traction things to attach to boots. What a ripoff. The reviews were amazing - everyone writing stayed up and safe no matter how icy it was. For some reason it didn't help me at all. What a surprise ;).

Hope you heal fast Alaskan, falling on ice, is no picnic.:hugs

thanks.

Now that the experience is fresh in my mind, I can give a clear recommendation to avoid it.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the fall Al, take care of yourself :hugs

Good morning everyone! Thanks for the coffee, the baby actually slept ok but the kids slept awful, to excited gor Christmas :smack
We have had only a dusting here. It has really been warm this year, just now finally getting into normal winter temps. Not complaining, calves are getting nice and fat, but it barely feels like Christmas
I jinxed myself. We now have 4 or 5 inches :he. As Catholics we are supposed to go Church twice today. With the snow now, I will only push for once. DH is checking the roads as we speak to see if it is safe. We are not that remote, but getting stuck somewhere with 3 kids in the car sounds like an awful Christmas.

Children would not be so bad if we could just get some sleep  DH and I started late with babies, he is 42 I am 38. We ate too old for this. Hopefully after Christmas things settle a bit here and we can get some sleep.

Good morning. I brewed a pot of dark roast in the french press this morning for something different than the usual morning jump start.
What's everyone doing today? My daughter is picking up the boys and I'm dragging hubs to my moms for strawberry waffles and bacon, maybe a walk through downtown after. When we get home I have gifts to wrap and a breakfast casserole to put together.
