Good morning everyone!
Thanks for the coffee. I was fortunate to grow up in a house with very little fighting. I asked my mom about it once and she said they fought a lot when they first married, but then things evened out for them and never really needed to. Dad is a very laidback man, slow to anger. The result is men that yell make me nervous. DH tells on the farm screaming and hollering like he is having a fit. But when he gets home it is like he flips a switch. I have done some pretty stupid crap, he will grumble and such, but he never does yell.

Sounds like both of you have awesome marriages.

I think the problem with mine is there's alcohol and probably some mental health involved so it's not exactly normal anyway. And dads frustrated with the drinking (and is kind of a jerk) and mom thinks he/everyone hates her plus she kinda hates him in general and blames everything on him. Also idk if he's just stressed or is getting very early altzhimers or something else or what because he also acts kinda goofy and childlike sometimesor selfish. He's always been sorta goofy/annoying but making sounds/faces or saying we're being "mean" and just childish stuff. Plus she'll find anything to start world war 3 over. Sooooo.... basically they all act like 2 year olds and I have to be the parent/adult sometimes

And they were never mean or abusive, mostly just hated each other, and didn't fight as much when I was younger, at least that I remember, but the alcohol thing started maybe, 15 years ago? So a long time. But back then it wasn't so bad. There would be a big huge blow out (aka drinking) and sometimes violent every few months and then it would be normal for a while. I also usually just went to my room. But now it's a lot more often. But not every incident is a blow out anymore. Sometimes we choose not to say anything and sometimes we do but it's a little yelling. Other times it's still pretty violent. And of course I'm an adult now so they don't care about fighting in front of me. I'm also the only one home since both my brother's aren't and i usually get in the middle now instead of hiding.

But sorry, I don't know why I'm going into all this. It's awkward and definitely too personal, sorry.

Also, I make them sound like bad people but theyre pretty good otherwise and she's great when she's sober (despite the anxiety/short nerves and yelling) and I'm really the only one who's nice to my mom anymore or at least like still hangs out with her. My one brother is still sometimes nice

awake had a bad scare with BF last night blood sugar dropped awful to 41 called 911 emt volunteer here great guys got it up a little so James and I went to hospital with BF they brought him a sandwich and water I had peanuts from the van he had 2 small handfuls .. I had made sourdough pancakes was feeding him peanut butter pancake he scared the living daylights out of me View attachment 1221202

Oh he caught them alright. DH walked in on a couple guys robbing the golf course pro shop, there was an altercation and DH chased them to get their license plate number. End result was 2 guys in prison and 2 totaled cars (ours & theirs). Fortunately no one was seriously hurt in the car chase.

I have an alcoholic MIL (Step MIL DH gets angry if anyone suggests she is his mother) who has mental issues. Not DIL calling MIL crazy issues real doctor diagnosed, spend time in the institution, type. They make themselves very hard to love.

We are rocking and rolling. There is not much space between those gusts but we still have power, so all is well really.
More coffee is on deck. More wrestling to watch on the computer and a great day to stay inside. I don't think eighty is a guide line from tree to tree kind of wind. When it gets up above 100mph, I start to take some precautions...

No no, don't start a story like that! The 2 guys that robbed the place are in prison. That was the 2016 golf course season.

The 2017 golf course season involved an employee stealing 3 golf carts. And a couple weeks ago he was picked up for possession. That ex-employee will be on his way to join the 2016 scoundrels soon as the courts do their thing.

Almost afraid to find out what happens in 2018.
