Did the trip home go smoothly Friday?
It did, thanks. We both got "TSA pre-check" on our boarding passes, which saves a lot of time at DIA.

Our airport, the Sunport, is easy to get in and out of, and we have a long-term parking that's only $2.50 per day. Too bad the kennel fees are the priciest part of the trip.

I have an alcoholic MIL (Step MIL DH gets angry if anyone suggests she is his mother) who has mental issues. Not DIL calling MIL crazy issues real doctor diagnosed, spend time in the institution, type. They make themselves very hard to love.

@KDOGG331 , you are describing the sort of homes that the Princess and I grew up in. All that I can say is that it's not fair, it's not your fault, and you can't be expected to 'fix' it . :hugs

Too true!

Have had two alcoholics in my life never, never again none of the three of us drink a beer ever 6 or 8 months is all

Thanks everyone!

OFW - Yes, very much so sometimes. And it's hard because sometimes she'll start crying or saying we're mean or whatever right after an incident, like just hours after, and then I always find myself feeling bad and wanting to forgive or be nice, which I guess I probably should do anyway, despite wanting to be mad.

Also occasionally they get along or she tries to show him stuff she finds online but then other times they're at each other's throats and it's confusing and annoying

Sour, thank you very much! And sorry you both had to deal with and grow up with that too! Oh and sorry to penny and ofh too. It's definitely trying sometimes

Also it's weird cause it's not even really so much the drinking that's the main issue anymore. I mean, that's a big part of it still, but it used to be like sober she was almost normal and they kinda liked each other and now it's like her nerve or anxiety or whatever it is has gotten worse and im pretty sure she also may actually hate him now so they just fight over legit nothing. Plus his bullying/starting stuff then blaming us and saying we're mean to him.... Granted we too sometimes overreact and my mom especially will start yelling at him about stuff but even still... maybe if you were nice in the first place, we wouldn't have anything to react or be upset about. And of course in addition to his childish behavior. Hes also annoying. But I don't know, maybe I'm just too overly sensitive and easily annoyed. But still. But like for instance, about world war 3 over nothing, earlier my mom found some new affordable houses and told my dad and he said he found some too in a different town. My mom asked where but he couldn't remember so looked it up. Same exact street name so obviously it definitely has to be the same development. Well, that started world war 3 because 1. That's the same one i told you about, did you even listen? And 2. It is NOT in town X it is in town Y. But he was saying it wasn't coming up with town Y. She's like well that's cause it's brand new. And she just kept freaking out and insisting it was town Y over and over.... like..... WHY do you have to be right? Let it go..... and then the best part is when he asked why she always has to be right she said "because I'm right."

But sorry to talk about all this and most especially go into such detail about the stupid argument but I guess I just wanted to show the absurdity and just how stupid and pointless some of their arguments are.....

I could see about money or something useful but what town some random freaking development is in!?
:barnie

No no, don't start a story like that! The 2 guys that robbed the place are in prison. That was the 2016 golf course season.

The 2017 golf course season involved an employee stealing 3 golf carts. And a couple weeks ago he was picked up for possession. That ex-employee will be on his way to join the 2016 scoundrels soon as the courts do their thing.

Almost afraid to find out what happens in 2018.

Wow you've had a bit of a rough couple years. sorry for all the trouble at the golf course! Hope 2018 is better!

Agreed!

Just had dinner & dessert at T.G.I.F. - very good. Hadn't gone back for years the food was so crummy. Today it was good.

I've only gone a few times but it's pretty good. A bit hit or miss though. I love Chili's. And we have this one restaurant here that I LOVE. Actually have a few more ha there's so many good ones here

We have a kennel thats like 20 a day or maybe it's even 10. But it's REALLY a kennel. Concrete and chainlink ha outside does have a roof and inside part though. Idk if they do walks, maybe? Its basically a shelter or pound almost haha at least the actual kennel. been open years and years. But i make it sound bad but the people are really nice there and loveeee him. Its one lady and I think her husband and/or one other employee. Theres hardly anyone there so i think Gator maybe gets special treatment haha but he usually gets stressed and goes off food :( But he'd do that anywhere i think. And he is wayyy too big and iffy with dogs to go to a cushy kennel or one with a lot of dogs. Plus he barks a lot, especially kenneled. They'd probably make us pick him up haha if i had a smaller dog that was good with other dogs, I think i would pay the extra for the daycare and walks OR I would just have someone come to the house. Can't do that either with him. Too protective and even if he let them in, sometimes he growls. Ususlly if you accidentally pull his rope and hurt his hip or he steals something good but still. Walks and daycare and having a dog LOVE his daycare would be nice though but we can't do that with Gator. Plus it's crazy expensive anyway for the extras. I like the price at least here and they love Gator and Gator loves them so it does make me feel a little better. He just doesn't like the actual kennel part or being away from us. He is used to a cushy dog bed lol i might also take next dog with us. At least on road trips if we drive not airports ha

Very funny! Good laugh!

Evening all.
The forecast has changed... supposed to go down to -44 tonight! Eek! (-47F)

That is just too cold!

Another good one! I keep meaning to look up Toronto weather... since my mom went to college there... wonder just how cold it got.

It did, thanks. We both got "TSA pre-check" on our boarding passes, which saves a lot of time at DIA.

OK, HOW do you make sure you get that? I have the electronic tickets. .. and I am planning on doing the online precheck... but this time I have bags to check...

anyway, sometimes I get the pre-check thing, and sometimes I don't.

Oh and I started some coffee since it appears I'm the first one up, although it might be cold by the time everyone else gets up.... you can always heat up in the microwave.

Also have some hot water on for those who don't like coffee and/or prefer something else, like myself.

We have plenty of tea flavors and also plenty of hot chocolate. Recently bought a 60 count box of Swiss Miss packets from BJs along with a giant bag of mini marshmallows plus we have plenty of whipped cream sooo....

Drink up. :D
