I have been writing the story of my working life on the Granny did it thread so if you need to get bored back to sleep check it out. I woke up to put a log on the fire and ended up here. Guess i am addicted!

I brought muffins. Thing 1 and 2 helped, so do not be surprised if you find some egg shell in one.

Think I'm going to work for a while to catch up from the holidays, then laundry, groceries, and other household stuff. Maybe I should have more coffee first.

Super dry here. Now 87 days without measurable precipitation. So dusty! I know I live in a desert, but this is getting ridiculous. Maybe a rain dance is in order.

Warmed up some -30 Now. Just 2 more days and then it's supposed to warm back up. A week from now we're supposed to be up to 0!!

Friday - how many animals did you have to board? That can definitely be pretty pricey.

Al - Toronto is a very sheltered city. Unlike across the lake (Rochester NY) there is no lake effect snow. Drive about an hour in any direction and it's a different story. The humidity there is what gets you. I did hear on the radio yesterday that it's supposed to be around -25 on new year's eve. The city has shortened the fireworks & show to about 15 min before midnight and 15 after so that people don't stay out in the cold too long. Ottawa has cancelled theirs altogether.

Those temps are crazy cold, Michellle. Not sure I could handle it. We're warmer than normal at 33 right now, and it may get up to 60 this afternoon. Definitely not our usual winter temps.

We've got 2 dogs. We like the place we take them although they are a little more expensive-the runs are bigger and the people are really nice. Probably won't be going anywhere for a while now though.

Aaaa wake again. Someone knocking on the door. How odd. We don't even have a door bell, no body visits. Music outside. Maybe the builders. But not noon yet. How strange! Dog not barking . Even odder. Must investigate.

Morning! I am still here and thanks for the coffee. Gusts near 100 and no trees down on my land and no power lost, so all is well. We get to watch more wrestling today. DS$ lost his last one yesterday, so now he is in the consi brackets for 3rd or perhaps even 2nd, depending on how things roll out.
