BYC Café

I can just imagine. I'm going across state to see my daughter and grandkids this weekend and the first night it will be just me and the kids while my daughter and her husband goes to see Rod Stewart. If I had known sooner I may have tried to whieddle my way in

Hello Cafe

I believe last time I was here I was trying to ward off any flu for everyone. It obviously didn't work as I ended up catching it myself.
Day three and I think things are looking up. But trying to care for the toddler is making things difficult.

I hope everyone is in relatively good health!

Drink lots of water.

Those little electric coffee warmers are pretty cheap.
We just need to get a new microwave, maybe Friday. I think the biggest reason DH and I are dragging our feet is we have one of those above the stove types, and they are so hard to install

I have installed a couple of those!(or so).

Make sure to use the template for installing the back bracket. Also, make sure that the bolts that screw into the top are in sturdy wood. On the one I installed last time, I needed to make sure that the exhaust fan motor was going the correct direction too.

When we bought this house it was deemed checking all the boxes, well the microwave was not one of them... the handle is broke off you are able to pull it open from the bottom and it works well for what we do with it.. and why do they have charge so darn much more for one over the stove

low priority here it still runs :idunno

Can't you just get a microwave that fits on a counter. We have one that sits on a microwave cart, with shelves /doors underneath - holds alot of misc. kitchen stuff.
Usually the microwave over the stove is also the vent hood system.

If the vent works, a counter microwave could work though!

Yep what Ron said. And no the whole thing is broke, not sure what but it is tripping the switch, so it is currently unplugged.
