I just finished watching the new Netflix version of "Queer Eye." A makeover seems such a simple idea, but this show is packed with powerful messages about loving, being loved, being yourself, acceptance . . . and gay humor. "I laughed, I cried; it moved me, Bob" (Veggietales reference).

That sounds like a cool show!

I haven't been watching Netflix much cause of school. But I haven't been doing much school either lol

Lol anything good
The Rotten documentary was very good. We are currently up to season for of the Black List too. There was an amazon prime series called Absentia that was good too

I use to love that show it was always entertaining but I liked all in the family, the spinoff moving on up more like when none of this non sense was going on and we all where just people

I'll have to watch that. I think I actually saw it on Netflix and thought it looked sort of bad or like propeganda-ee?? I have some other food documentaries saved though so maybe I would like it. Idk. I have never seen Black List but my dad likes it.

Honey, I live in the South - there never has been such a time here. My parents wouldn't let me watch "All in the Family," because Archie Bunker was such a bigot, and they didn't want me learning to be that way.:(

Dad was not with his girls but never out right said it even out here I was in college before I saw a black man or a gay one

Queer Eye was filmed in Georgia, and as one of the Fab Five points out, a lot of prejudices still exist here; maybe not out in the streets, but behind closed doors and closed minds.

I learned after Dad died he was against all but his color and he may have wanted me to be .. showing dogs like I did I had many clients from many walks of life I never
turned a back on any for who they where and I think I turned out okay in spite of that

As for figure skating :sick

I decided I had to watch Tessa and Scots ice dance routine since it's been such a big deal. And you know what? It was really good and the crowd loved it, which really pumped it up!

Ha, I added that to my list last night.

I find most documentaries pretty one sided. It's kind of like a video version of someone's debate. So I always try to do independent research afterwards. On points that I agreed with and those I didn't. I'm a very critical thinker, but it does take work to sort through documentary claims.
Sometimes I completely agree with a films premise but disagree with the tactics they've used to sell their point. But it's hard to get people interested in documentaries so I understand why...but I still don't like it lol
