I am going to set the coffee maker to brew at 5 am for the early risers. Hope that works. NFC didn't leave any written instructions and i am not a coffee drinker. There is a big tray with muffins and cinnamon buns on the counter, help yourselves!

G'morning Cafe

There's coffee, lots of coffee! It's 2 AM. My grandson got me up for his rescue inhaler an hour ago and now I can't sleep. At least I can get a nap in before the little dude is out of school today.

What are you guys plans? I was thinking about making some bread since I'm up already, have a couple loads of laundry to get done too. I'm waiting for a pasta machine to arrive so I can try making ravioli again. We were going to build an enclosed garden this weekend but hubs has to work nowI really can't stand his boss. She is one nasty, horrible, miserable human being and karma...well, you know

Ha, I was feeling like the worst yesterday so I suppose that was much needed!



Going for some earl grey tea this morning, we got a light dusting of snow last night. I see rat tracks, cat tracks, and canine tracks (coyote I assume) around the house and barn, everyone must have been busy.

Today I think I will attempt to tackle my out of control messy house. If the toddler will indulge me, we'll see how it goes. Didn't collect sap yesterday, but it might not thaw out much this afternoon; only getting a couple degrees above freezing and a full blanket of clouds in the sky.

136 L (I'm keeping a running total this year)

Made a bit more then 40:1 syrup though, one of my batches was a little to liquid, but still excellent flavour. Hoping to cook mostly with syrup instead of other sugars this year. Trying to slowly cut out the grocery store as a primary food source (not doing so well, but it'll come).
