We haven't had the wood stove running for almost a week now... and it is below freezing. ... finally getting to me, I guess we should crank it back up today.

And... No one should have to stoke a fire every 1.5 hours You need a better more efficient wood stove.

The handle keeps coming loose, so it's no airtight. When we first got the stove 2 years ago it would go for 6-8 hours.

Get Spinosad!

You can use generic that is for garden bugs. Out of the sun, it will kill bugs for a month in the coop. Undiluted it can be used on the chickens as a systemic lice and mite killer.

On label for chickens is elektor. You need to rob a bank to afford it though

I have a bunch of drugs left over from when I had horses .... I went over them with casportpony and she told me how much to use of what I had.

Turns out my super strong horse fly spray is permethrin at a very high concentration level... so great for a coop spray down.

yep! Maybe then you just need to put in a new seal? Only problem with putting in a seal is I think that is 3 or 4 days of no stove use. Because it needs to cool down first, and then cure.

My brother and his fiancé recently got a wood stove. They've been looking for a while and found this one on Craigslist. I think they only paid like $400 for it? And it's originally like a $2000 stove. Maybe a little more or less, not sure exactly. It is Vermont Castings I think or Vermont something or other. Only used like 3 or 4 times too. I guess it was given to this guy by someone and he just wanted to get rid of it/wanted his money back so listed it without even looking it up evidently? So they lucked out.

Docked tails and weighed the lambs. After one week they are 12 and 13 lbs, started at 8 and 9.
