Plus we moved around within Nova Scotia. Of course, we have been married nearly 40 years. I think the average person moves every 2 years.
The shortest I have lived in one place was right after marriage--Two years. I have been at this place since 1999

And I can't remember what thread it was that was talking about fruit trees but I always want to plant them but they take a few years to start producing and I always say we're not going to be at this location that much longer but then I am aha
If you are really worried about it, plant them in a pot. You can move them then. Get Dwarf versions of the tree so they do not get too tall

I am still having a little trouble with Texas gardening. I grew up in Michigan no problems with Strawberries Grapes Blueberries were a bit of work but I could grow just about anything there. Here I do better with weeds and Cactus. I may need to try a coffee bush!
Spanish grapes do very well in texas. The table seedless grapes are pretty finicky

were exactly are you in Texas? (gardening zone) I loved my garden in Texas. With some work you can get stuff to bloom all year around and attract butterflies and hummingbirds. great fun!

I've been living in the same house for 48.7 years We, house and I ,share so many infirmities and cracks and wrinkles etc. we could be twins.

I always said if I won the lottery I would have the house restored to its younger days.
My siblings always said "That's nuts, get a brand new home." New houses always have a lot of problems that the builders hope you won't notice. This is all a moot point since I don't waste money on lottery tickets.
