Thank you I had not thought of that but it makes sense the eye shiny like the water dish and I have small rocks in the dish to keep them form drowning.


The compost turner is super cool! DH bought me one a couple years ago, it was plastic so I said inside stuff only! OOPS, DH had on his Wifey ears again and overloaded it with coop compost. now it just sits out in the yard leaning to one side. he keeps saying he is going to fix it for me and yet, there it sits. Moral of the story if it has plastic parts watch the load size you put in it!

I do all the work so it's not likely to get screwed up. I'm planning on using whatever I fill my kitchen buckets with in there. I do have a poop board and scoop poop but takes a couple weeks at least to fill the bucket so I'm adding that. All yard waste, including poop, will still go to the traditional pile I have in the yard.

You could use bread ties to connect it to the bottom of the incubator.

That is perfect for air flow

And that sounds nice! Somewhat work still of course, especially coop repairs, but weeding can be relaxing
