That is one thing I miss about the flowers in Michigan, the smell! I love Lilac bushes but they will not grow here. I was told mountain laurel but most of the flowers here are for looking not smelling. I hope that is not true.

It's a by-law here in Edmonton that each home has to have at least 1 lilac on the property.
I don't think it's enforced, but most yards do have them.

Sorry I haven't been by in a while.
Been busy getting my house in the city ready to sell. It will officially go on the market on Wednesday.
The snow has been melting fast, resulting in a lot of our driveways becoming lakes (sadly the chicken run too). A friend loaned us a trailer to move our stuff, but we promptly got stuck in the mud only halfway through the gate. It's that kind of mud that grabs hold and won't let go. CJ and I have both ended up falling into it while trying to get our feet unstuck. So, the trailer is sitting in our neighbours yard, waiting for the drive to dry out a bit. What happens today? I tried my hand at fashioning a hatching tray,

JMHO, I think the foam would insulate? Therefore, not allowing the egg to heat up evenly? When I have used egg cartons for a hatching tray, I used the pulp paper ones, cut basically the same as yours.

I had not considered that, I may have to see what else I have around. I dont buy eggs anymore so i get containers given to me. I will look around and if I figure something out I will share it. Thanks
