Maybe the weather man will be wrong again. Wish i had some friends who would come over and help. Idk anyone in VA that i would call a friend yet.
Good luck on your build. It will be ok. Think of it as an adventure, not a job.

We got extremely lucky, we moved here less then two years ago so I really don't know anyone, but we ended up buying a place just 15min from good friends of ours from uni days. Crazy how life turns out sometimes. Plus they have a little boy just 7 months younger then ours.

As it is we've decided to move back the build date to next weekend. Which did relieve a bunch of that fore-mentioned stress. I feel a million times better not having to plan their visit and just focus on the chicks. DH and I will still work on the coop as much as we can - probably dig the trenching to bury the hardware cloth.

It's very spring - supposed to be 5 on Sunday and 15 on Monday! (41 to 59 F).

Oh heck Penny , lets not go there! I have been very good lately wearing my rubber chicken boots after it rains so lucky no falls in the last couple of days.
My poor pinkie on my left hand still is not recovered from its encounter with the hammer!
Lets try to stay safe. X many days since a fall on the home place.

Oh boy, getting chicks tomorrow.
Not at all prepared
Going to throw together a kiddie pool brooder for now. Will have to come up with something better next week. Unless of course by some amazing force of will the new coop is done next week.
