BYC Café

I love to plant, er maybe I should say I truthfully love to see OTHER folks planting things. Just watching wears me out.
You sound like me, Diva. I'm not scared of work.. I can sit and watch it all day!:lau

Good morning Cafe

Coffee is ready or tea if you like!
Been a busy 24hrs. with pheasant chicks hatching and the following story. Came home from work yesterday to find a new born fawn wandering around one of my pheasant pens. Well, George saw it and went to investigate. I went and picked George up to take him back inside so he wouldn't disturb the fawn.
As I was walking back to the house, the fawn had imprinted on me and was following me back to the house. It layed down at the steps, I did some things inside and went back out and took some pics, went inside again and when I returned she was gone.
Looked around and found her wandering around again. She was bleeting and no momma was coming to her aid....so now I have another mouth to feed. Here's the pics. Videos will follow on her progress.
Team Bottle Feed....Yeah

You'll be starting a thread over this - this beats me befriending a feral cat.
Idk about a thread but I would much rather had it's momma show up! Must have been a young doe, to abandon it's fawn. The doe hasn't even come back looking for it's young'un.

Hopefully she will return. Around here the does seem preoccupied because of their fawns and are not so careful crossing the road. I see MANY road killed this time of year and always think about the starving fawns. Just a bit weird - that's me. :idunno
