Also I can't imagine a store being out of so many things. Were they a smaller local store or like a regular full sized grocery? I know sometimes they run out of stuff on occasion or don't carry it but seems to me coke and/or kale is a staple ha although ours does tend to get low on some fresh veggies later in the week but they usually still have it or another store will.
We have huge regular grocery stores here and lots of them so I guess it's never an issue cause usually they have it and if not, the one literally down the hill probably will and if not there, there's plenty about 10-15 minutes away in either direction
