Well, if you're going to be picky!

Ya, the Scandinavian countries always seem to do well I would love to make a trip out there (though I suppose I'd love to make a trip to lots of places...)

I've been to Sweden. It actually reminded me a lot of Nova Scotia.
The thing that got me was the architecture. It really reminded me what a young country Canada is.

Canada is almost 100 years younger than the US. Became a country in 1867. It turned 150 last year.

Sweden was nice. I was there over new year's, which probably wasn't the best time of the year to go.
The people were very friendly. It's quite expensive, especially fuel and restaurants. A happy meal at McDonald's was $12. This was back on 96. I can only imagine what it costs now.
It's a very socialized country. They actually get taxed for every appliance they have. BUT there are a lot of benefits you can reap from the system. My friend was a single dad. At the time of his divorce the government determined how much money was required to raise 2 children. They then looked at his ex-wife's income. They looked at what she needed to live comfortably and then took what was left for the child support. If there was a shortfall between the amount required and the amount the parent could pay, the government paid the difference.

My brother has been to Canada several times, he was really impressed with how clean it was. No litter and garbage scattered everywhere - which sadly is not true in many areas around the US.

He and companions arrived late due to airline delays. They inquired at a restaurant if they were still serving. The manager said "But, of course, we were waiting for you." The food was excellent and the service as well.

I didn't realize Canada was so young! They had people before though right? Or no? Yeah, I hate how there's so much litter and graffiti everywhere here! People shouldn't do it, of course, but they do and I don't get why they don't have someone to clean it up!
