Good morning Cafe

Thanks for the cup of Joe, @sourland

The screws will be a permanent part of my anatomy. So, now I have to look forward to arthritis and barometric changes on my entire right leg, from hip to ankle! :lau have a titanium rod running from knee cap to ankle with 2 screws and now 1/4 lbs of screws in my femer.
Good thing I don't air travel for my job anymore, TSB agents would have a field day with me.
I already open automatic gates and doors that operate by magnetic metal sensors. :gigno joke, I walk by my neighbors gate and it opens  when I was at Caterpillar, I opened their huge shipping dock doors and that was just from the metal in my lower leg. Some things are funny about the extra parts but not the way I came by them.
I'll stop boring everyone with this diatribe.

Everyone make it a great day! :celebrate

Morning Cafe :frow

Thanks for the coffee Sour! I drank it all so a new pot is started (sorry about that).

@igorsMistress working yesterday turned out to be ok. Our golf course hosted a fund raising tournament for a CO high school and the folks that attended were some of the nicest, most appreciative ever. Got a real good feeling out of doing it. So I win!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

That's a good way to look at it, and for that purpose I wouldn't mind helping out!

@N F C, good people make up for the bad.

@007Sean, ever consider a second career as a weather forecaster ?
Thanks for the career change advice, I'll stick to my ancestors way of forecasting rain because it always worked so well....they just kepted dancing until it did rain. :gig

@007Sean, if still traveling for work it would be necessary to carry X rays, wear shorts to show scars, and prepare to drop trou for inspection. I once had to drop trou after a pat down ?. Wanted to ask the guy if it was good for him, but decided that was not the politic thing to do. See - I can exercise restraint. :D

My daughter came over with our grand children this weekend:clap
Grandaughter had to bring her cockerel inside to watch a movie :lau

PIZZA DOUGH

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 (.25 ounce and a bit more) package active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). In a medium bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.

2. Stir in flour, salt and oil. Beat until smooth. Let rest for 5 minutes.

3. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat or roll into a round. Transfer crust to a lightly greased pizza pan or baker's peel dusted with cornmeal. Spread with desired toppings and bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let baked pizza cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Sourdough Pizza Crust

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cups fresh sourdough starter
  • 4 to 5 Tbsp. olive oil, coconut oil, etc.
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1-1/4 to 1-3/4 cups flour
Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Mix together the fresh sourdough starter, one tablespoon of oil, the salt and 1-1/4 cups of flour. Add more flour, a little at a time, as needed to form a pizza dough consistency. The amount of flour needed will depend on the hydration level of your sourdough starter (the flour-to-water ratios used when feeding the starter).
  3. Allow the dough to rest for 30 minutes as it will be easier to roll out. (It won't rise significantly, if at all.) Roll the dough out into a circle using a minimum amount of flour to prevent sticking.
