So pleased, one of my Tolbunt pullets started to lay today!

Are they the ones you just got or some you hatched?

What were you doing in Alaska - panning for gold? Raising pheasants? Far enough back to have met Alaskan??? If you did tell us what Alaskan looks like.

Too much metal in me now, no way! I already know when the barometer is dropping...why go somewhere that I know I'll freeze?

Well, get ready. It came through Abilene about 5 o'clock. Temps dropped around 10 degrees so far and getting some rain now.

3:15am Ok, it's coming through right now, just gusty winds, no rain, yet! Temp hasn't dropped.

The pair i just got are mature, hen is about a year and a half. She has been laying fairly regularly since she got over being moved. I have some of her eggs incubating for the Halloween HAL. The one that just started laying i bought as a chick at the big swap in Glen Allen VA this past spring. I have 3 pullets and 2 cockerels. Bought all the Tolbunt chicks she had.
