BYC Café

Just woke up. My IBS is giving me issues again thanks to the pain pills. Been trying to combat with prune juice etc. I know, too much info. :gig
But so far my neck isn't too bad, thanks. Still laying flat on my back. That helps. And i did get my BP down where i want it. But likely it's back up by now. However i start weaning off the steroids today, which i believe are the cause of the sudden jump in BP.
How are you feeling?

I'm fine other than a slight cold. If that's the worst I have to put up with, I'm good!

You could be right about the steroids and you BP. Those two things happened about the same time didn't they?

Rattle snake! Which are still out and about down here,

Stupid auto correct didn't put the L in. :rant

Our rattlers are enjoying their long winter's sleep now. Did I ever share this photo with you all? This is Rattlesnake Butte...want to guess how it got it's name? That's part of the golf course right in front of it so we get "visitors" frequently.

Oh well, i am just obsessive about spelling. Disregard my correction. My Mom was a teacher and i used to help her grade papers.
No worries, so am I, it really P O's me when it does that, I used to write technical papers for SOP's when I worked with the State. I know better than to hit Send without proofing.

Beautiful! I don't recall seeing that one before.
I have not seen a snake lately, but i wager they are still out there.
Yeah, one of the side effects of steroids is hypertension. But i am monitoring frequently and adjusting my Bp pill dosage accordingly. Glad to be weaning off the steroids.

Not that exact pic but one taken from a different angle and further away.

Good afternoon Cafe.
I've been sorting out the mixed grass that got harvested here this summer. At least 30% of the bales are ruined because of the unusual amount of rain we've had this year.
The chickens think it's going to rain yet again. One of the donkeys had a leg sprain from slipping in the mud. The chainsaw has died. One of the Muscoys had a small cut and he's a pain to pick up and treat; have to towel wrap him because his wings are so strong.
Dry wood for the stoves has become a problem. We get through 7 or 8 tons a winter between the various dwellings.
We need to borrow a bobcat to clear the landslides that have encroached the track leading to the village. There are lots of trees down on the higher slopes of the mountain. The water had just washed away the root support. Just can't get at them to cut for firewood even if the saw was working.
Pffft, sunny Spain my ****!

Some days are like that, hopefully tomorrow is better!
