BYC Café

Next year, I'm going to bake a fruit cake from my favorite recipe. Haven't made any in a few years. The price of ingredients got very expensive, and everyone in the family wanted one. I quit giving them out. I miss not having at least a couple for us though.
Try a 'Poormans Fruitcake', just raisins and chopped walnuts...no fruit...cheaper to make.

I never could stand fruitcake - had that Fancy one that's advertised so much. Couldn't even finish one little slice. Birds outside left it also.

Sean's "Poor Man's Fruitcake," is very good, and the ONLY fruitcake I would ever want to have again(and again).

BTW Sean, it is well preserved in the tin, and not getting the least bit dried out. I won't let that happen. At slightest hint, I will consume the remaining pieces at once.
