:hugs So sorry you had to do that. It's never easy making the decision to end a life.
I personally envy your ability to take care of it yourself. I can't even watch the videos showing how to do it humanely.
I've had 2 of my girls euthanized but had the neighbors take care of it for me. The second time was because of their dog so that one seemed fitting.

Thank you :hugs. Honestly, we used an air rifle and hubs shot her. It's quick, that's what we wanted. I was there but that's all.

Those decisions are very difficult to make. I'm sorry you've had to go through it too. I took care of 2 quail myself that weren't doing well. I hated it but couldn't let them suffer. Once you do it it seems to get a little easier.

Some time ago my friend lost all three of her house chickens - almost a day apart. Couldn't stand but if she hand fed them ate plenty. I think it was Mareks. Her 2 seramas never went outside but, her silkie did- I think she brought it to them.:hit

I've come to understand that it can be carroed on your shoes, clothes etc. Anything is possible.

I've told my son to buy a pair of flip flops he can leave here. Shoes from his place are not allowed even just in my house so we don't cross contaminate.

Yes, I did. She's doing better this morning. Not completely normal, but better. She's walking freely and her flanks are down in size. They don't feel taut any more. She still acts like something's hurting a bit.
Do you feed free choice baking powder?

Morning Cafe

Thanks for the coffee, I have donuts if anyone cares for a late breakfast snack!

Sorry to hear about your loss IM :hugs

Glad Princess didn't break anything, sour! :D

Sunny and 46°F here right now. Only got down to 34°F last night.
Everyone stay warm and dry, and 'Make it a great day'! :celebrate
Mmmm... doughnuts!

I think I generally"bend" when falling because of vertigo. I get dizzy then just kinda melt down all relaxed (dazed). Don't have bone density to speak of. Trying to be much more careful in rising/laying down- very slowly:idunno
