Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made.
Well, it did rain; on the next mountain, in the village a couple of miles away, a bit on the mountain directly in front of the house.
So if you have been having a word with Mother Nature @CapricornFarm could you mention she needs to use a map with coordinates and this random pissing in the general area just isn't hacking it.
I think I'll speak to Sean, the old spirits seem more reliable.

Good morning Cafe folks, the coffee is especially good this morning...compliments to the barista!

My day is starting off right...it isn't snowing! No idea how much we finally ended up with yet but it's pretty frightening out there.

Are you getting a lot of rain right now Becca? Hope there's no danger of flooding.

I just came in from checking on the chickens. Their feeder sits on a big 4-5" high block of concrete, it was totally covered so had to dig it out. The only reason I could find their waterer was because it has a warmer in it and that had a melted ring of snow at the base. To get to the nesting boxes required a trip through a thigh-high snow drift.

So glad to get another cup of hot coffee when I got back in! And I brewed another pot for anyone else wanting/needing some!

Oh man! I feel bad for you in all that snow. You must have a pretty secure and dry coop, for your run to be drifted in like that and still getting eggs!

We are getting sporadic rain, not flood stage but enough to keep the ground soggy and muddy up my eggs. Tonight it's supposed to rain into tomorrow, then cool and dry after that for a couple weeks.
I'd love another cuppa, then I'm gonna make some corned beef hash and eggs for breakfast. Been hella hungry since yesterday. Couldn't eat after the dentist got done with me, and its gonna be worse the next time cause I need a crown on my eyetooth

Guess I better eat what I want while I can.
