Shad, thanks for the coffee. Good luck finding the nest today, that score needs some improving Homegrown tomatoes are wonderful, are you concerned about the chickens bothering them?

Also, I want them close by because what happened in the past was they didn't get watered correctly and the skins split. Outside the house they'll be in with a shout of regular attention.

Coffee is made.
It's find my nest chicken challenge today. Chickens 4, Shadrach 0.
The gooseberry bushes I transplanted are doing well. They've got leaves budding.
Not sure about the kum kwat trees yet.
Onions gone in on the roof trench. I'm tempted to put in some tomatoes out the front where I can keep an eye on them.
The main vegetable garden is just a weed patch now. Heartbreaking after all the work I put into it.

It is 8'x16'. I'm keeping the front 8'x4' portion for storage, the nest box access and the brooder.
I've got 13 LF and 3 bantam chicks coming in less than a month. I currently have 11 LF.

I am back to work at the plant for the next three days.
I'll lose half a day Thursday because I've got to make a trip north with Mom for her regular kidney check up with her nephrologist.

I'll get the coop interior completed in time for the chicks. I'm hoping that the ground thaws enough to run the trencher over to the coop to get it wired up before they arrive.

Your coop looks great DL! Nice size too. It's so much easier to be able to walk in and stand up to do chores when you need to clean up.
