Have a great day shearing, Margie. I don't envy you with that chore. Hope DS$ has a great match and win.

Morning! Shearing day! Lots of coffee and I am hoping that all is well with the cafe folk!
DS$ off to IA for a wrasling tourney so I guess with the snow coming in tomorrow, it will be a good couple of days to be able to hang out by the computer and catch his matches.
I am guessing that I still won't be reading all of the posts but hoping to catch up some.
Enjoy the beautiful day all!
Good morning, Café - a good day to all.
Morning sour, 'good day' to you and Princess.![]()
Sounds like a pretty good day, to this 'country boy'!Thanks Sean. Princess is in NYC with our daughter and grand daughter doing things that do not interest this country boy in the least. I will be taking some final information to the tax people for us and beagle club tax info to the club accountant, then to the Amish market, and finally out to play in God's world.
Thanks!Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made.
Some Typhoo tea bags on the side for Sean.
Need to do some serious weeding. Everything is going green.
I have been there before!Mornin', y'all.
Sour, I'm curious - does the beagle club get to file in April, like normal folks? A couple of years ago, we were informed (after the fact, naturally) that businesses now had to file a month earlier than Joe Taxpayer, and we got slapped with a lovely little fine for filing late. They "forgave" us for not being clairvoyant that year, but last year, even though I put the forms in the mail on the appropriate date, they insisted that we had filed late again, and fined us again, and Critter went 'round and 'round with them about it, finally pointing out that we had recently been hurricaned, and asking if they would just back off a bit and let him at least catch his breath before nagging some more. Their response was that they'd get back to him; they were a bit tied up right now (gov't shutdowns create backlogs, y'know).![]()
I'm currently stuck in a state weirdly between comfortable and uncomfortable. My beloved Explorer is officially back on its wheels, having just had a transmission transplant. I suppose these things happen eventually to any vehicle that gets driven long enough, and since we are talking about a 2003 model with almost 200,000 miles on it, it was probably inevitable. For a variety of reasons, this has taken over two weeks, during which time I have been driving a rental (referred to as "the little red roller skate;" though the gas mileage was delightful, in other regards, I will miss it like a toothache). While it is marvelous to be back in something that is so familiar, it has almost become like a member of the family, I can't get past the fact that this work probably cost more than the vehicle's value, and there's this nagging concern that "Ol' Reliable" may not be any more. At what point do I decide I simply can't trust it any more?![]()
