They did. I am the animal guy so people usually dump their animals in my lap. They have been doing this since I was 16. I always give them the stern lecture that animals are not something to get spur of the moment.

Oh wow that is ridiculous!! It always amazes me how little people know about animals and how little research people do before getting them. If they even do any at all. They are living creatures not toys. I especially hate the small pet trade :( and the Easter animal craziness. And Christmas puppies. :barnie

But I try not to be judgemental and I understand everyone has to learn somehow/not everyone starts off knowing, and sometimes animals get dumped on them, but the people that intentionally buy them and then don’t even bother to try to learn or keep them and just dump them when it becomes inconvenient really annoy me and irk me. Wow that baby duck or puppy grew up and got big and is no longer cute. Wow. What a shocker. Didn’t you know babies stay babies forever and never grow up?:th:smack:duc

You should see the family memebers that beg me to buy chicks around Easter time and then I tell them the cost. I don’t raise production RIR, I raise heritage birds. I sell usually to 4H participants when I get word from their parents that they want a RIR. Other than that, I usually won’t sell.

Ah that’s gotta be frustrating!! Although tbh I think people are just cheap asses in general lol I’ve heard of so many stories from my artist friends where people claim to want to hire them or claim to be their friend but then they hear the price and flake lol this is from all different stuff too like photographers, musicians, graphic designers, other artists, etc. they constantly hear stuff like oh can’t you just do a shoot/design a little logo/poster/let me in for free or getting mad when they won’t or they act like they want to hire you or “please shoot our show” from some tiny little band then they hear the price and it’s like oh no that’s way too much we’ll just use our friend who said he’d do it for free. Meanwhile the price was actually pretty reasonable (plus they have to make a living, it’s literally their job sometimes) and the free work turns out like shit :lau  or people claiming to be their friend but then they won’t come out to the show, constantly being like yeah I will some day, and/or they want to go but constantly ask to be guest listed/won’t buy a ticket even for tiny local shows where it’s usually only like $10, $15 or sometimes even $5. But with those I can understand if someone is truly broke and/or can’t afford even $10, I get it, but I’m not talking about genuinely can’t afford it, there are legitimately people who just flat out refuse to support the people they call “friends” and refuse to pay for their work. Whether that’s coming out to a show and buying the ticket or a CD or something or whether it’s their photographer friend or graphic designer or artist or someone who owns a clothing company or jewelry or whatever. People just constantly expect free stuff. Sadly it is not uncommon. :/ and I actually think it’s worse if you are friends with them or related because then they almost like feel entitled. Like c’mon bro, we’re friends can’t you just hook me up? Etc. etc. and it’s like.... no. I can’t. This is my living. Then they get all mad LOL people suck sometimes.

Exactly!!! :he I've been at it for days. My fingernails are sore from scrubbing & The place doesn't look any different. :hit What I need is to make the house bigger, not really cleaner, so I'm scrubbing away & accomplishing nothing. I was thinking I'd rather be shoving sticks in my eye, but pulling out body hair with tweezers is probably a safer idea. :highfive:
Yeah, it's pretty much one and done with the stick in the eye thing, it takes repeated torture for me to learn! :D

Darn, I wanted him to pick me up something too. Do they have any fruit breads over there? Lol

Did they really think they would stay fluffy baby sized forever? :th
They do have fruit breads here, and olive bread, and walnut bread (one of my favorites) and mostly baked in traditional bread ovens. Of course, being so far away you won't get the luxury of warm fruit breads with slightly salted butter spread on it. If your smart with the flights and rent a fast 4 wheel drive car this end you might get a loaf home before it goes stale.:p:lau

Welcome Meg!
