Coffee is made.
We brew up here some years.
The hens have started fighting. Some of those who wanted to sit and hatch but I wouldn't let are having a go at those who either have hatched or are sitting. Who said jealousy is a human only emotion.

Just when you got the roosters sorted out! Does everyone in Catalonia fight?

I was going to enter if I can finish in time!
I hope to have the bulk of the coop done by the end of next weekend. I'm PT so I have 4 day weekends. That certainly helps with moving right along on the coop. And the week off I just took.
But then I have to build the run and I'm setting it on piers so that is 10 holes to dig through hardpan clay, down 42". I hope the ground is thawed through the entire depth.

Harbor Freight has hole augers at a very cheap price, also you can rent them at Home Depot. It would save both your back and alot of time.

All dressed up with no place to go. Grandson was supposed to have a ball game today - we were just about to leave when we got a text message that game was cancelled. Whatever happened to phone calls ? Heavy rain last night made the field too wet. On to Plan B - the basset hounds are using the club this weekend. I'll go visit with them.

sour, the "whatever happened to phone calls" tends to be a bit of a pet peeve with me. I prefer a phone call over a text, most of the time. The "younger folks" prefer to text.

I hate phone calls, text or messaging on social media is much easier for me. But then again I also have anxiety so I’m terrible on the phone and hate it. I don’t even answer calls from numbers I don’t know/recognize.
