We had a Black Lab/Great Pyrenees mix for 6 1/2 years and he was the best dog. So sweet and gentle. He did have some issues but those were mostly human error (training mistakes) and in spite of those, he was still an amazing dog. We sadly lost him in December to MMM. Had to put him down :( that is him in my profile pic and you might have seen the tribute thread. If not, I will try to find it because I posted a ton of pictures of him in there. IMO he was a very handsome guy.

My brother and his fiancé have two Pyrenees mixes currently. They are both rescues but from different rescues. They adopted the first one last February at 12 weeks old and the second one in September at I think like 16 or 17 weeks old. They are both Pyrenees/Collie according to the rescues (first one was labeled Great Pyrenees/Border Collie, the other one was just “Pyrenees/Collie”) but according to the DNA test they did after adopting them, one is 37.5% Great Pyrenees, 25% Lab, 12.5% Boxer, and 25% “unknown” but it said it was likely herding or companion breed so they are thinking the border collie guess was right because she is so so smart, does the collie walk/stalk/stare, and of course her coloring, and her head is still very small and petite. The other one is supposedly also 37.5% Great Pyrenees but then he is also 12.5% Chow Chow supposedly and like 37.5% unknown and I think it said 12.5% Lab or something like that. For him the unknown it said was herding or sporting breed. They are convinced he has Aussie or Collie in him because he really does act like one and he is very vocal and demanding/pushy like one LOL but he is not the brightest :lau  definitely not Border Collie because of that and because he doesn’t have “the eye” like BCs do. Also we really think he is part Golden or Setter or something either in addition too or instead of the Lab because he is just so so sweet and gentle and obedient as opposed to the other one who is so smart she is constantly getting into trouble and testing the limits LOL anyways, long story short, we LOVE Pyrenees mixes here and I think my brother got theirs because he loved ours so much. That said, for me personally, for my next dog, I am not sure if I would get a Pyr or not because the one thing I do not like is the stubborn, independent tendencies and for my next one I want one that wants to listen and more easily trained haha

Libby and Franklin. Libby is the black and white one and Franklin is the goofy fluffy boy lol

That is her "Blondie the Easter Pony" persona.

Yes, it's ridiculous, but Blondie has certain conformation issues that make more conventional horse jobs out of the question for her. Doing this, she puts smiles on hundreds of faces and helps to save the world from being overrun by carrots.

She has been a unicorn. For the Animal Costume Contest at our local fair, she has been the My Little Pony character Fluttershy, and her alter-ego, Flutterbat. I'm considering a "How to Train Your Dragon" character for this year . . . we'll see.

And this was her at the last Christmas Parade we took part in:

Ohh, that's a hot-button topic, that one. She is a pedigreed (but not registered) Miniature Horse, and while some mini owners might start foaming at the mouth if you called their animals "ponies," if you could do a DNA profile on 'em, most Miniature Horses would show a majority of Shetland blood; some might even be 100% Shetland (as a matter of fact, I know some that are both registered Shetlands and registered Miniature Horses). I'm sure Blondie doesn't care either way, as long as there's a carrot in it for her.
Oh, if it helps to stop the world being over run by carrots then I'm all for it.
I can see from the other pictures she personal identity problems. What conformations issues does she have?
