BYC Café

Good morning, Cafe.
Thanks for the fresh pot of coffee, IM. I hope you clear the cobwebs soon.
Today is finish the roof and the framing on the clean out doors and make the final electrical connect to the coop. This time next week, I should have my new chickies!

G'morning Dobie. They're clearing lol. Coffee helps!

Are you putting your current flock in the new coop with the chicks?

Morning Cafe!

Shad & IM, thanks for the coffee. It was so good, think I'll have a 2nd cup.

IM, Congrats on the new little NN's. They are such cute little chicks, hope you'll share some pictures! :woot

Dobie, good luck working on the coop today. Have you figured out what earrings to wear that will go along with your roofing and electrical job? :D

Yeppers. They get moved this Sunday. Although they want to move in sooner. I installed the pop doors last Sunday but had the doors out of the frames for painting. I blocked off the opening to the chick brooder/run with scrap plywood but for the main pop door opening I used 2 scrap pieces of 2x4's. I got home from work Monday and went out to start working on the coop to find several piles of chicken poop in the coop!! How dare they!
They had knocked down the 2x4's and had a grand time in there. I put the doors back into the frames. When I left for work Tuesday morning, they were perched all over the stack of shingle bundles just outside the pop door opening I'm sure wondering why the heck they couldn't get back in.

I'm thinking my dangly star and moon earrings. But Barbara likes sparklies and I'll be at ground level so I may have to rethink that. She, quick as lightning, plucked a small stud earring out of my ear one day.

Morning! Congrats on the new chicks hatching, IM. We need some pics...
Hope your roo continues to improve. Maybe he is spending too much time trying to woo the ladies and forgets to eat? I know bull elk do that...
Thanks for the coffee! We fired up the log splitter yesterday and got some of next year's stack done.

Ouch! Yeah, maybe sparklies aren't the best option
