3 of the 6 that have hatched so far. Not sure which came from my flock but our egg hatched.

So cute, IM! That's great your granddaughter got so see one hatch.

He was pretty energetic, eating and crowing so I let him in the backyard so I could clean the carrier. Had hubs bring up his favorite hen. Bad mistake! He chased her and mounted her twice and now he's exhausted! Back in the carrier waiting for his scrambled egg to cool. Also managed to nick his comb and get it to bleed! My problem child.
Hope you get your coop finish today, we would love to see some pictures! Have a great morning!

I liked your video of him. Such an improvement over the pictures in your ER post. I'm so glad for both of you.

I won't have the coop finished by the time the chicks arrive but it will be habitable by Sunday.
I did get the roof done which is a good thing as we are expecting heavy rain starting tomorrow with flash flood warnings into Saturday.
I also got the feed wire connected to the coop and ready to go into the garage where I will run a wire over to it from the subpanel. It'll be a real treat to be able to plug my chop saw in directly to a functional receptacle and turn overhead lights on to work. Such luxuries!

I'm so completely impressed with your abilities! I dont know any other female that can do the things you can, and truthfully don't know too many males that can either. You geaux girl!

Good morning, café! Sounds like everyone is being very productive! Me thinks it's time to get a project going

Those NN's are so cute! I've never seen them as chicks. Too funny. Little neck rolls

How exciting that you're getting your chicks next week, @DobieLover ! Can't wait to see pictures of them and the coop!

Debby, I think I would need a nap too if I got up at 3:30. Trying to decide if I've ever been up that early as opposed to that late! I don't do that anymore, of course ;)

I'm getting very excited about the chicks. Even more about getting my current flock move in. I've been so busy trying to get key things done with the coop that I've not taken many pictures. I'll try to get a few more tomorrow.
Fabio has been flogging me entirely too much lately. He's had just about enough of my construction activities. I'm going to have to work on relationship repair with him when this is all done.

Thanks, Becca! That's nice.

I got into the reno stuff when I bought my first house. It needed to be brought out of the 70's.

Then it flooded in 2006. I learned a little more then. After the second time it flooded in 2011 when it went into the main floor, that's when I really learned more. That's when I did my first electric panel, water heater and furnace installation and whole lot a dry wall.

Then when I got laid off just prior to my company going bankrupt in 2012, I decided to pick up a foreclosure and flip it. That's when I really became addicted to the work. Took down my first load bearing wall to open up the space. That's this house:

I think I missed my calling. I made a tidy profit on all of my flips. Including the second full repair of the flood house and the house I live in now, I've flipped 6 houses since 2011. I'm tired.

Just...WOW! That house is lovely! Did you stage it for the sale? It is beautifully decorated; I love it! Also love the shower tile!

I bet you're tired, but still working on your shed to coop transformation! Must be addicted! :p

That shower tile I did again at the next flip but I didn't do the diagonal on the top half.

That's all my furniture and decorations. It's in all the flips. We moved from flip to flip until we settled where we are now. Another reason I'm tire! Who wants to move nearly every year?
I lost that couch and loveseat to the mice when they were in storage here in our garage. I was so mad when we finally were ready to have living room furniture and found the damage. I just loved that set.
