I'm a doof! I meant did TREACLE have breeding privileges. Of course Tackle does!Tackle will crouch for him as long as Cillin isn't there. She's the most junior. They would make a good couple and if I had the money I would build another coop and encourage them to move in.
I'll try that!Just made some leek and potato soup with bits of wild boar in if anyones interested.
There's a rather good soft white stick loaf made with Espelta and sesame seeds by the side.I'll try that!
I've tried a split coop in the past and it wasn't terribly successful. You need to get the hen away from the family at roost time if you're a rooster; may well be the same for humans ime.I'm a doof! I meant did TREACLE have breeding privileges. Of course Tackle does!
You can build a spare bedroom and move the young couple in there!

The inside is mostly done. A few more security items to address and I have to install guard rails on the ends of the roosts that meet in the corner. Last night was so pathetic it was funny. 5 birds including Fabio and one of his favorite ladies who is very dominant and the lowest ranking hen were all trying to pile into that corner. Wings a flappin' and bodies getting shoved every which way. They were getting shoved off the end of the roost and slamming against the walls.Fingers crossed the littles get to you just fine!
I did see Mogwai's pictureGlad she is feeling better.
Do you have a lot left to do to the coop? The last picture I saw, it looked good!

The exterior trim has to be finished and then I begin construction on the run.
On a good note, I put on a pair of welders gloves and went out when Fabio was at his worst. He would see me approaching the gate to their pen and would march over to meet me and give me hell. I just casually and calmly reached down to pick him us as he flogged away at my boots and gloves. I just stayed calm and kept slowing and gently going in to try to pick his furried feathered butt up. He couldn't stop me and he never got tossed off my boot. He made a hasty retreat and hasn't tried any funny business since. We have a long ways to go but it's a step in the right direction.
We don't!Definite progress with Fabio!
As for the coop & run...does anyone ever actually complete a construction project? We don't!
Morning! Cold rain here atm, burrrrr! But there is blue sky too. Keep the coffee hot! Here is the latest prediction...
WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 18
inches possible.
And now the sun is out so I guess I will get the chores done asap. Have a great day you all!
