Hi Margie We're supposed to drop down to 30* tonight and won't get much warmer tomorrow. Snow is expected here too, I've seen estimates of 1-3" and 5-8"...guess we'll have to wait to see which one is right. Stay warm!

Hey NFC, how is work going? I am excited about the hatch, the eggs were old and i didn't expect many to develop, which is why i set so many eggs!

I planned on mowing my lawn before the rain hit 2 days ago. The battery is dead on the tractor. Can't find the charger. One of the many joys of living with someone with Alzheimer's is he "puts things away" but (a) doesn't remember putting them away and (b) sure as hell doesn't remember where he put them! So now my lawn is a swamp with tall grass. Maybe I should just get a goat.

Get at least 2 goats, they get lonely.

Good afternoon cafe. Likely evening for most of you. I made some coffee if anyone needs it.

I had my granddaughter today as my son had to work for a bit. His girlfriend just lost her mother to cancer, I feel so bad for her. She's young, not even 30. I'm going to hug my mom extra long when I see her tomorrow. I can't imagine.

It's been busy around here, but the chicks are so darn cute I find myself running late because I'm watching them play.

We may have FINALLY found a way to thwart the wild pigeons when it comes to food We put this feeder up on a piece of brick, it was just a touch too short resting on the ground, but with the lid on it they can't hop up there due to low clearance.

Great idea! I might borrow this feeder design!

On a different note, I cant help but think that it's a good thing your son's girlfriend has you in her family during this sad occasion. I know you will step up an nurture her along and support her as she grieves.
