The big reason i'm fond of him is his ability to explain the most awkward things in the best and worse possible way at the same time. I could practically feel the eeeews.

Tense night here last night. Over the past couple of years our golden retriever , Dani, has had a couple of spells of extreme lethargy and apparent pain generally following periods of stress. Twice about 24 hours after grooming, and yesterday after freaking over Wednesday thunder storms. Last night was bad, and frankly I was concerned. We had an appointment for 10 AM, but today she is 85 % normal. She's 12, and with goldens there is always the concern of cancer. Canceled today's appointment and we will take her in next week for an extensive work up to see if we can define the problem. Vet is a friend, and I have his cell #. He told me that he is not going anywhere this holiday weekend and that I should call if she has any problems.

I seem to have spent the Spring evicting broody hens.
I don't know where they have these meetings but it seems to go something like; 'I'll sit on the pile in the house, you sit on the nest on the bank, we'll get Hinge to sit on that pile in her coop and with a bit of luck, bucket boy won't notice one of us'.

Dang... me too! Every Marans. Every.single. one.

Poor thing - hope you get some answers!
We currently have my mom and her two dogs staying/living with us. She's got an older dog with some undefined issues, so we're hoping for some answers as well.
