Awwwww, I wouln't mind a kissy face German Shepherd. I've been looking at getting a German Shepherd, but with the grands living with us, I just can't bring myself to pay $1,800.00 - $2,200.00 for one, which is what the going rate seems to be around here. There always seems to be something more pressing, kids clothes, shoes, Dd's dental issues, unexpected home or auto repairs that keep cropping up, and take priority over spending that much on a pup. At this point, I live vicariously through my neighbors, and pet their dogs.
Shepherds are cheap here, so many of them available. I only paid $900 for mine in FL at a year old.

Afternoon pot has been brewed - have at it. All lawns are mowed. Tomorrow Dani goes to daughter's and Princess and I head to Maryland. Grand daughter graduates high school on Tuesday. Wednesday we pick up Dani, and Thursday is her surgery.

Thanks sour, I need a pick me up right now.

Safe travels and congratulations to your granddaughter!

I hpe it all goes well!

I got the shed cleaned out and almost done with the clean up. Just need to move some lumber to the garage and put the trash can back out front.

Found the rat that was living in there. Decided to shop vac the floor after I swept to make sure all the droppings were picked up. It had a field day with the electrical cord on an old lamp and a soft stuffed ball the kids lost.

Squirted the pups with the hose, they loved it!

Has anyone seen @N F C today?

Wow that’s pretty cheap!!

She is a wonderful dog, very smart and wants to do the right thing. Stop by if you are in VA. We have an awesome home on the river.

Wow she sounds like an amazing dog!! I love the shepherd breeds. Love the retriever breeds too ha I think those two categories are probably my favorite breeds of dogs. Most of the dogs I want next are shepherds or retrievers :lau Aussie, Golden, Lab, GSD, English Shepherd, etc. even looked into the Belgian ones.

Although unfortunately I think most insurance companies won’t insure Shepherd breeds or charge way more :(

Wow that sounds like a nice place! Thank you for the offer! Will have to keep that in mind, although I don’t know when I’ll be getting to VA. I think I have a cousin near Alexandria and DC area but I’m not sure exactly where. I think he was near Alexandria but recently got a house and not sure if it’s also in that area. But yeah. Somewhere down there. Probably nowhere near you though right?

And do you happen to have any pictures of the dog or property?

A lot of insurance companies don't even ask the breed question anymore. Statistically a chihuahua or a cocker are more likely to bite someone than a shepherd or a bully breed. You just hear about the big dogs because when they do it it can be bad, big dog, and the media likes to blow it out of proportion. Like hearing about every mechanical issue on evety flight after a plane crash...tge media loves a good juicy story to boost their ratings.

Last time I looked at UK statistics, the King Charles spaniel bit more people than any other dog.

That’s good to know!! Thank you!! I know a lot of the apartments still have breed bans so I didn’t know if insurance companies did too. But that is good to know! Thanks!

And exactly!! I agree 100%. The big dogs just do more damage when they do it but I’d much rather have a bully breed or Shepherd than a Chihuahua lol although that said I think a lot of those little dogs, Chihuahuas included, can be great dogs when bred and raised right and treated like dogs instead of babies and trained properly lol but the problem is so many of them come from puppy mills and pet stores and have so many health and neurological problems and also go to people who treat them as accessories lol

ALSO.

I’ve always said that a big dog would never in a million years get away with jumping up (well, some big dogs do get away with this lol) or lunging at other dogs on leash, or growling at people or protecting their owner or whatever, but yet when little dogs do it it is “cute.” Awww he’s protecting me!! Or “just doesn’t like you” well that’s dangerous lol or when freaking out on leash (usually a FLEXI 20 feet away too), behavior is either ignored or it’s just “oh Fluffy stop it!” Or it’s considered funny and laughable. :barnie

Can you tell most little dog owners annoy me? :lau
