I had always heard about how destructive horses were, but pound for pound, my goats have my horses beat! For example, I had a goat that would stand inside or outside of the barn, repeatedly slamming his head into the walls, apparently just because he could.:he I wound up installing "butt bars" to try to keep the walls on.
The goats that were here did so much damage they had to go. It wasn't just that it seems there is nothing they won't try to eat, like sheep, they would rather stand and graze on some precarious slope and merrily skip away when the slope collapsed than eat better forage in a flat field. Then of course there are the horns! You're left with the problem of deciding which end is safer if you need to handle one.:hmm

Hello, Cafe.
Not good morning.
The company that I work for has been acquired by TTM, the largest N. America PCB manufacturer. Asset transfer to begin next month with "shadowing" of key processes by TTM personnel for intellectual property transfer. Physical inventory transfer to occur beginning 4th Qtr.
Some current employees will either be made an offer to move to Chippewa Falls WI to the main fabrication plant or other TTM owns facilities. Some will also be offered positions at the current companies Endicott site and/or the Binghamton site.
Ra ra. Like it's even an option for me to drop everything and just move.
I'm going for my first mammogram today. Maybe I'll get even more great news from that.

Be careful what you wish for.;)
Maybe the goats here are different but the few we had here made Conan The Destroyer look like a complete amateur.

Oh wow!

Yeah, I’ve heard they can be pretty destructive and are escape artists lol

We hot wired the pasture and only had them get out twice. They didn't like getting zapped.

Thanks! That’s a good idea!!

New diet?

:lau maybe :lau

That is what chickens are for, to use up left overs.

Yes! My chickens love scraps and leftovers lol

Good morning, Café - brewed another pot.

See the movie. Taron Egerton 'becomes' Elton John. I left the movie with greater empathy and respect for Elton John.

When the grandkids ask how the Princess and I have made 55 years I tell them to marry someone they like more than anyone else they have ever met in their lives. Looks are nice, sex is great, but 'LIKE' is essential. I really do not feel that age of marriage is a factor, or at least it should not be. Problems arise - that's a fact. It's all about commitment. Sour's thoughts on relationships. :hmm

Well said sour!

In her book "Weeding out the Tears," Jeanne White mentions the friendship that developed between Elton John and her son, Ryan. Shortly before Ryan's death, she said Elton returned from an impromptu shopping trip with an assortment of tapes, and a portable player. To her surprise, none of the tapes were of Elton's music, and when she asked him about that, he said he wasn't sure that Ryan would want to listen to his stuff. When I read that, Elton John rocketed into my pop star top ten.

Oh wow that’s annoying! Lol did he break anything?

Amazing how 2 pounds of puppy can wear you right out!

:lau yes but it’s an active puppy/breed too! I imagine a bigger yet more relaxed breed would wear you out less :lau

Oh no, I didn't take it that way :)

Oh okay good!! Sorry. Kind of hard to tell online. Kept thinking I kept saying the wrong things aha

You're absolutely right in my opinion. In my job I see a lot of divorce situations, mostly when the kids are out of school and it seems the couple no longer need each other.

55 years, that's beautiful sour. It's very obvious you love your Princess very much.

Ah that’s always sad. But it does seem true, seems a lot of people just stay together for the kids.

Oh wow that’s awful!!

Here a lot of them are disbudded but I’ve read some people say they think their horned goats are happier than the non horned ones. Guess the disbudded ones are always itching and rubbing (must be uncomfortable) and just seem more miserable.

:hugsI often wonder how people manage to pick everything up and move far away for a Job!

Best wishes on the mammogram

I tried my best to keep goats and did for a few years. It was always fun watching the kid goats romping and playing but contrary to the old saying goats do not eat everything. So I still had to mow the pasture to keep it from being too snakey. The goats running and playing in the field would turn up rocks that you wouldn't see which would ruin a mower blade. Constantly getting their heads unstuck out of the fence. I finally called it a day and sold them. Field does look a little empty though.
Thanks for the coffee. Nothing on the to do list today except put a new ignition switch on the mower. The old one is proving to be difficult coming off. Something to do with these old stiff hands I believe.

I can't move. I'm taking care of an Alzheimer's patient and all my mother's finances. And let's not forget my house is not mortgagable because I have not finished it yet.
Thanks for the best wishes for the smash and bash. I'm so looking forward to it.

Are they going to close the site you work at?
