Making progress on the packing crate coop.

Thanks, the $5 I paid for the packing crate was a great deal. The top was 4'x5' , made of plywood and 2x4s so I used it for a wall, and the top of the second crate made another wall.It's shaping up nicely Cap

Yes, we generally learn the hard way, don't we? So far so good on this one. Babe's still doing well. Though I wonder if it helps that they've been harassed so much through their sitting. Do you have an opinion on leaving broodies alone or checking eggs and them every day? I'm sure you do, but I'd like to hear it!What happened with the sisters is they had an egg breaking competition.It was a long time ago and I didn't know what I know now. Isn't that always the way.
Basically the nest wasn't suitable and I should have moved them.

It's been pouring down rain here this morning. DH has been up & down most the night trying to keep the golf course irrigation pump from frying...it seems to be having trouble with the rising river water.
It's a day off work for me
