BYC Café

Thank you just may BE a great day, no sign of rain anywhere. Maybe if I do the kitchen floor again, it will stay clean for awhile. Uh-huh what are the chances of that? Supposed to have storms into next week - some could be severe.:smack

Shad, when I was growing up, most of the adults had pocket knives, even the women. My grandmother wore an apron, and carried hers in the pocket. Pocket knives are handy for quite a few things, but the best was when we'd head out to the garden, and pass a fruit tree. She would pick whatever fruit, pull out her pocket knife to slice it, core it, or cut it to share with me, and we'd eat fresh fruit right on the spot.

As far as I know, none of the women in my family ever carried a knife/gun. But, my cookin' has laid many a person flat on their back. So there's that!

My dad's sister didn't need weapons she had" fists of death." Some woman dared to call her a dirty J word and she decked her. My hero.:woot

Good morning, Café.
We had a 75% chance of thunderstorms this morning. We only got some sprinkles. Which I'm very happy about as I didn't quite get the roof on the run yesterday. But I should have that buttoned up, the doors built and some of the hardware cloth on today.
The kids are so big I don't know how they fit through the baby doors. IMG_20190624_123435510.jpg IMG_20190620_184823555.jpg

Santa need to delegate more and keep those Elves on the Ball!

Dobie Lover, did you put up all of that framework by yourself?
DH held the posts plumb for me while I locked them down and put up the bracing and he obviously had to help me hoist the beams into place. They were ungodly heavy.
