This is weird...you all were talking about rain and it just now started raining here.

Please don't talk anymore about earth quakes!

I guess I'm lucky. I do have some family I enjoy seeing. I adore my girls and their mother although she's got even stranger in her old age. I still have some good friends which I would like to see more of. My elder sister despite living a completely different life to me has a sense of humour and I'm always prepared to tolerate peoples faults if they can make me laugh.
I won't spoil this by mentioning the others.:p:lau:lau

My brother & I have always had an improv comedy routine that is unstoppable. Nobody can set me up for a string of witty one liners like he can. When he got sick earlier this year & we thought we were going to lose him, my 1st thought was, 'If he dies, I'll never be able to say anything funny again." Fear & grief can make you think the stupidest things.

Having unexpectedly lost a sister several years ago, my thinking about visiting because of guilt changed. Now I look at things like this...we don't always know how long we'll have someone we love in our lives. Wouldn't I be glad to have made a trip, just in case?

You know what's best for you Roomy, but whatever you decide don't feel guilty about it. If the heat is intolerable, I bet your brother would understand.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I've lost a sister already too & I know how very permanent it feels. If it were Fall, Winter, or Spring I'd go, but man, Summer is a killer.

When I lost my sister, I couldn't figure out how to drink my coffee in the morning. Weird, I know. Its always the most unexpected things that trip you up.

I'm sorry you had to go through that Roomy :hugs Hardest thing I ever went through. Maybe that's the wrong phrase...you don't get through it, you just have to get used to it because there's no other choice.

Hey, room, this is a safe place. We can be as we are here. :hugs I'll pass on the iced mocha.

Ooh ooh, I'll take yours! :drool
