BYC Café

I went to see my mate Mohammed and his wife today. Seriously, I felt like such a peasant.
I did remember to take my boots off before going into the house and that's a huge score for me given I live in my boots. I remembered to bow to his wife and not offer my hand.
I got given some lovely food and then I dropped a major clanger after eating by offering to help with the washing up.:he
Anyway, I did take them a bowl stand and bowls as a gift which they liked so some redemption there.
The Asil's looked lovely. Really well cared for. The pens are a bit on the small size for my preference but he gets them all out a pair at a time in a large run every day.
The hens are super fiesty! You can handle the roosters but the hens will go for you at the slightest provocation. None of the hens have settled down enough to lay eggs yet apparently.

So I get to go to a wedding this September! My cousin is getting married (third time’s a charm) and I have to try and find a very nice local wine. AKA me going to wineries to “taste” some wines.
champagnetoast-emoji-unicode.jpg It sounds like a tough job!

:gig

There you go see......a smoke alarm wins hands down. You can hear that halfway down the street if you buy a goodun.

Shad, you are truly incorrigible!

That word reminds me of my pal, Frank. He was a Cornell grad with a BS in Chemistry and a brilliant engineer. But the man could butcher the English language like no other. My friend, Denise, and I started to collect what we affectionately called "Frankie-isms".
His word for incorrigible was 'incorkable'. Seriously.
But I think my all time favorite was when he mangled self deprecating into 'self defecating'... seriously!

Morning Cafe

Shad, your visit to Mohammed's sounds nice...some interesting birds, good food and only 1 gaffe  When are the chicks due to hatch?

Morning! Thanks for the coffee.
DS$ is not wrestling today, but he did better than what he thought he was going to do. The first guy he lost to is in the quarterfinals though.
We are digging holes and setting posts today up at the stables. At least we have a backhoe to drill the holes. We also got some good rains last night so weeding is a priority for the gardens.
Enjoy the day and stay safe in the weird weather.
