Alive my crazy white dog got in the chicken yard somehow had one of my lakenvelders in her mouth but only scratched her, you went back to work ?

I don't know if it's the same elsewhere but, in my state if you are 70 or older you can be excused from jury duty permanently.

I got a notice and was very upset. My brother said I would need to take 4 buses to get to the court house and would never be there by the 8 am. time required. He ended up driving me and thank goodness all of us (over 100 people) were dismissed and given $ 25. for showing up. I gave it to my brother.

I would have loved to serve if I could have gotten transportation.

See there is not call bus's here so not a option and BF would not have to sit there for to serve

Do you put out an ice block for them in a pan to melt so they can drink and wade in it? I am doing this and they seem to like it but they aren't battling your temps. I am also going to put a floor fan in the run suspended so that they can't get at it but so it blows down on them.
Thanks for remembering about Fuji! She has to go on Sotalol for the fast heart beat and arrhythmias. The results of her Holter indicate she is having them quite frequently. But she's so tiny, we have to find a compounding pharmacy to formulate the dose for her. She only needs 10 mg a day. The standard dosages you can readily buy are 80 and 120 mg.
After she's been on the Sotalol for 2 weeks, she has to get another Holter monitor done. I'm going to try to talk my vet into letting me put it on. I know I can do that. I'm in for over a grand in vet bills so every penny I can save will help. Especially if I'm going to be out of a job in a couple of months.

Yea they have ice water but seem to prefer cubes on the floor of the coop. I have a box fan and mister that blows through the coop door for them and they congregate in the wet dirt outside and get a cool mist too. I try to give them options but I'd really like to make a shallow bowl like concrete area I can shade and put another mister near. It would make things easier.

I was going to say, haven't seen you in here in a while. Howdy your apple fritters sure look good, thanks for sharing the recipe. Igor is looking forward to trying some of those when it cools off a bit.

I've never had apple fritters(sheltered life I guess) but, I love corn fritters.

Let him know I had to add an extra egg and 1/2 to 1/4 cup flour to have right texture but turned out fabulous
