BYC Café

Funny but we are having a cool down too, 100 F one day, then 90's and today in the 70's with light showers. I even have the screen in the outer door, and the upstairs bathroom screened window open. Only two spots that don't let bugs in.

So much easier to enjoy life in the 70's instead of 90's and 100F.

I am hoping to build some quail hutches/cages soon or maybe an aviary or maybe just buy some. Idk. Haven’t decided yet haha we have tons of hardware cloth but I’ve never built anything before. My dad did most of the building of the chicken coop and all the wood cutting and everything. I just sometimes (barely) helped nail or screw some stuff in haha
No time better to start learning than now.

Did you say stone wall??? An honest to god stone wall??? LOVE those (but never had one). I used to see quite a few of them when living in Kansas but nothing like them around here. Hope you'll share pictures of it going up Dobie :D
Yes. Stone wall. DH and I built one to retain the planting bed along the flagstone walkway we installed at one of our houses. I just don't have time to do everything around here.
These are just retention and landscape defining stone walls but still, natural field stone. The neighbor does great work.
I'd be happy to share pictures of the finished product.

We are suppose to have hot temps here also no blankets on the beds just a sheet but darn we whine pretty good if it gets above 80 here so tomorrow we see the new Lion king pretty excited to see it so early to bed goodnight have to take dogs out

Good morning, Café. Thanks for the coffee. It's much needed this morning.
We're expecting heavy rain and thunderstorms today.
We had a wonderful visit with our floating friends yesterday! Denise informed me that she quit her job... again. Burned out. She's only 54.
The pair of them manage to live on a little over $1,000 a month on the boat and can live on less in Puerto Rico so they are planning to sail back there later in the year when the window opens. Free spirits for sure!
